Sue Monk Kidd was born in Sylvester, Georgia. She graduated in 1970 at Texas Christian University with a B.S degree. In her twenties she got married and her husbands name is Sandy. They had two kids named Bob and Ann. When she turned 30 she started writing even more. And at that point she was living in South Carolina. Sues first book was God's Joyful Suprise. When she wrote The Secret Life Of Bees the book sold 5 million copies and became one of her bestsellers.
